Glasgow Rocks Too!

We are expanding our amazing support network to Glasgow. There are over 800 teenage Dads in Glasgow every year, and Dads Rock are one of very few organisations that can directly support them. The aim is to give the young men the skills and confidence to enjoy the experience of being a father. A recent study revealed that 30% of children in Glasgow on the child protection register are there due to poor parental mental health, an increase from 14% prior to covid-19. This is where our team could help.

Our Young Dads program is a 1:1 service tailored to the individual. First we get to know the man and his situation, then develop a program with them to build their confidence and range of skills. Most of the support will be direct from Dads Rock itself, other aspects may be provided by external organisations with specific expertise and guidance.

We are continuing to offer a variety of online parenting workshops with a growing number of Glasgow dads who are keen to be involved. By offering the Young Dads Project in the area, we hope to make a bigger difference and improve the lives of many dads, families and children. This service will not just be beneficial to the dads, but also the children and families altogether.

We take referrals from other professionals and charitable organisations or you can self refer by calling: 07508529469. You can also email amy@dadsrock.org.uk to make a referral.
