There’s weekly groups for Dads to attend with babies/children (aged 0-5) at Community Central Hall, Maryhill at 10am every Saturday. You can sign up to come along here: DadsGroups

Pop in and join us for a chilled out time with your wee one, grab a cuppa and hang out with other dads. Andy from Dads Rock will be around to chat each week. Whether you want support to understand your baby’s needs or how to grow your connection with your wee one we’re here.

We also go on Dads Days Out! Another fantastic chance for dads and their kids to get out of the house and meetup with others for some much needed fun. Please see our Dad Trip page for details or upcoming activities: DadTrips

Young dads support

There are around 800 teenage Dads in Glasgow every year yet we are one of only a handful of organisations that directly support them. Our aim is to give the young men the skills and confidence to enjoy the experience of being a father.

Our experience working with Young Dads has shown us that each young man has different skills and needs. For this reason, we provide a program tailored to the individual. First, we get to know the man and his situation, then develop a program with them to build their confidence and range of skills.

The sort of areas we cover may include looking after their own physical and mental health, feeding babies and young children, looking after babies and toddlers, help with how and why they should play with their children, economic management, being an organised Dad, and how to seek help. For some this will all be new and we can help them to cope with an enormous change in their lives, others may already have such understanding but want help in other ways.

New Dads

Becoming a dad is a huge life change - it’s ok not to feel ok. If you’re experiencing low moods, anxiety or depression, having difficulty bonding with your baby, struggling with relationships or feeling isolated? You’re not alone. Research shows that 14% of new Dads experience poor mental health during the perinatal period. We match new Dads with highly-trained peer support volunteers, who are more experienced Dads/Mums, to give emotional support. More information can be found here: PS Dads Rock
