We’ve got some important news to share, and it’s not easy for us to say. After much consideration, we’ve decided to close Dads Rock Academy (DRA), our music programme. The pandemic hit us hard, and despite our best efforts, we just couldn’t generate the income needed to keep the Academy going.

Dads Rock Academy has always been more than just music lessons. It’s been a place where families come together, share laughs, and make unforgettable memories. We’ve seen Dads, Mums, Grandparents and kids bond over the joy of creating music together and the legacy of DRA will live on in the memories we created and the enduring bonds it forged among families.

Our Continued Support for Families

Even though Dads Rock Academy is closing, we’re still here for you. We’re continuing our work with free weekly playgroups, peer support, parenting workshops, events and both online and in-person support sessions. We’re dedicated to helping Dads and families navigate the tides of parenthood and helping children thrive. To learn more about our ongoing services, visit our website at Dads Rock.

Celebrating Our Amazing Tutors

We owe so much to our fantastic tutors who’ve been the heart and soul of DRA:

Conal, our lead bass tutor since 2016, stepped up as Music Service Manager in 2021, providing amazing support and leadership.
Anna joined us as a volunteer in 2021 and became a key part of our music lesson service in 2023. Her passion and energy were contagious.
Callum has been with us since 2016, inspiring so many with his guitar skills and dedication.
Eamonn rejoined us in 2023 as our lead drum tutor, bringing back his infectious enthusiasm.
Maria, one of our guitar tutors since 2023, quickly became a favourite with her patient and encouraging teaching style.

As the CEO of Dads Rock, I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our core team for their unwavering dedication and to our past funders for making this programme possible for so many families.
