August Round Up!

From Festival fun to the return of our Dads Rock Academy, it's been a jam-packed August at Dads Rock!

We celebrated #NationalPlayDay on 4th August and put together a free activity pack for you and your kids to do together at home, including some fab Dads Rock colouring in sheets and a scavenger hunt.

We were delighted to welcome the awesome SPROG ROCK to Dads in the Wood in Craigmillar as part of 'Festival Favours' from the good people at Edinburgh International Festival. It was fantastic to enjoy some live music!

We were thrilled to start delivering face to face music lessons again when our Dads Rock Academy restarted on 24th August. If you'd like to join us for our weekly music lessons for young people aged 7yrs+ and families, we still have a couple of spaces left. You can find more information on our Dads Rock Academy page www.dadsrock.org.uk/musiclessons

We continued running our other services throughout July, including our Sunday Playgroup, Dads in the Wood, our Dads Buggy Walk, Dads Talk video calls, online parenting skills workshops, and our Dads Perinatal Group for Dads in Portobello and Craigmillar. Take a look at our Calendar to find out what we have coming up in September.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us in the Asda Leith Green Token Giving vote - we were delighted to win the vote and will be receiving a donation of £500 from the Asda Foundation.

Our first ever Dads Rock ‘n’ Stroll family friendly 5k walk opened for registrations. Thank you to everyone who has already registered and started fundraising for us! There’s still time to register for the event which is taking place on Sunday 26th September at The Meadows, or if it’s easier you can take part remotely. We’d love you to join #TeamDadsRock and help keep our valuable services running.
