Shared Parenting Scotland - Launch!

On Monday 10th of February, we attended the launch night of Shared Parenting Scotland. This being the new name for the awesome people of ‘Families need fathers scotland’. This change is to reflect changing attitudes in Scotland and to ensure that society understands both parents matter. Families Need Fathers have supported many families going through separation over the years, they are national and hold regular meetings for parents looking for support when it comes to parenting apart.

One of our trustees, Kevin Fallon attended the launch on behalf of Dads Rock, the first speaker was Sir James Munby (Sir James was the judge heading all the family courts in England and Wales until last year. He is now the chair of the Nuffield Family Justice Observatory) due to the weather Sir James was unable to make it on the night, instead a Q&A was held. Amanda Masson was the second speaker, a partner at Harper Macleod LLP and Law Society of Scotland Accredited Specialist in Child Law, Family Law & Family Mediation.
